Cinnamon Rolls

(slight variation of a recipe from Becky)
*
INGREDIENTS
Dough:
2 ½ cups hot tap water
1 cube butter, melted
½ cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
7 cups flour
1 ½ Tbsp yeast
*
Filling:
2 cubes melted butter
1 cup brown sugar (more or less - to taste)
2 Tbsp cinnamon (more or less - to taste)
craisins, raisins (I soak them in warm water to plump them up)
*
DIRECTIONS
Put water, butter, sugar, salt and eggs into blender. Blend for 1 ½ to 2 minutes. Add 1 ½ tbsp yeast; blend for 1 minute. Pour mixture over 7 cups flour. Mix well for at least 10 minutes. If the dough doesn't come clean from the side of the bowl you need more flour. Let rise for 1 hour.
*
Roll dough out onto a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Spread with cinnamon filling. Roll into a long tube and slice thick. Place onto greased cookie sheets and cover with plastic. Let rise 1 more hour. If in a hurry you can turn the oven on for a few minutes, then turn it off and put rolls in to let rise. Heat helps.
*
Bake at 400* for 10-12 minutes.
*
Top with your favorite cream cheese frosting.

  1. Your photos make me hungry and since I am fasting, I probably shouldn't be looking at your blog. I bet my children would love this and if I add a fourth portion of freshly ground white winter wheat flour they won't know the difference. :D
