Banana Bread

I started making this while serving an LDS mission in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I would make it to share with other missionaries and people we were teaching. It is a very easy recipe and a great way to use over ripe bananas. My family loves it when I make it, but it goes quick.

2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
6 bananas, mashed
1 cup shortening
2/1 cups flour
2 tsp soda
dash salt
1/2 cups nuts (I use pecans or walnuts)
Combine ingredients. Pour into greased bread pans. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
