Pizza Casserole

This is one of those simple meals that really take no time to put together. The family never seems to complain. You'll see below just how much Robbie enjoyed it! :) I usually make this with penne pasta - tonight I used macaroni noodles - it really doesn't matter. I used whatever ingredients I had on hand. Tonight our "toppings" included pepperoni and mushrooms. The possibilities are many! Why not serve it up with a nice green salad and a slice of toasted garlic bread?

1 pkg penne pasta, cooked and drained
1 jar pizza sauce
pepperoni slices
basil and oregano to taste
mozzarella cheese, shredded
other possible ingredients:
green pepper, thinly sliced
sausage, browned and drained
Canadian bacon
pineapple tidbits
sliced olives
sliced mushrooms
Preheat oven to 350 F. Place cooked pasta into a 9x13 casserole dish, sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Spoon pizza sauce over noodles. Top with your choice of ingredients. Cover with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with basil and oregano. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until cheese become bubbly and toasted.

  1. Love the pictures! This looks like a crown pleaser for sure.
