Peanut Butter Cookies

1 C. Chunky peanut butter
1 C. shortening
1 C. Granulated sugar
1 C. firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
2 ½ C. flour


Combine P.B. shortening and sugars until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, vanilla and then the dry ingredients. Beat until smooth and creamy. Roll into balls and criss-cross with a fork. Bake at 375 F for 8-10- minutes.
